Anthon's Coal Fired Pizza (ACFP), the South Florida-based concept that uses authentic coal-burning ovens to create "well done pizza," opened its fifth Miami-Dade County restaurant this past Saturday at 12502 West Kendall Drive. The location is a one-half mile west of the Turnpike.

ACFP launched in 2002 and already has grown to 23 restaurants throughout South and Central Florida and the Northeast. Expansion plans include additional locations in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania later this year.

Known for its high energy atmosphere and signature menu items, ACFP uses 800-degree anthracite coal-burning ovens and the highest quality ingredients. Anthracite is known to be the ˜cleanest" of coals, burning smoke free with extremely high heat. Its simple and consistent menu features award-winning coal-oven-roasted chicken wings topped with grilled onions, signature Italian-style salad and other Italian specialties. Anthony's Kendall location also offers a full bar.
